Your opinions, please!

I am just wondering about my blog and if it's actually something that I need to keep doing. I know there are millions of farm blogs out there. And they all talk about the same things basically. But they are all different as well. So I am wondering if my blog is relevant at all.

I look at the stats and looking at my post about John Henry coming back home, that got 45 views. But not a single comment. And some don't have any views at all. Kind of strange to me.

So please let me know what you think about the posts on this blog and if they are helpful or not. I would LOVE to know. And I can take criticism too, IF it is done right. I don't like hurtful criticism. But I need to know if this is worthwhile.

I love my blog. It does help me to know when something happened or when a goat had kids or whatever. I can just look it up if I need to.  I love taking pictures. I am always looking for opportunities to take pictures. I almost always have my camera with me anymore.

So please, feel free to leave a comment about what you think about my blog. And thank you all so much for looking. And I do appreciate  ALL of my cyber friends who come here often.

Just an afterthought here: I know people are busy and they just come to check in or whatever. I realize that. I do the same thing. I have several favorite blogs I go to every day. I don't always comment on every post because I just don't have anything to say about it. So I know how that is. Just wanted to add this. And I am not trying to get compliments or anything like that. Just wanting to know what you all think about the posts mainly.

Kris, I consider you one of my cyber friends. Your blog and my Kristin's are the only two blogs I visit on a regular basis. It keeps me moving down the road to be able to share common bonds. I have two daughters who need my attention and have been out of town a lot on family responsibilities but I always check in as soon as I get home.

Hi Kris, I found your blog thru Mary Jane's Forum about a year ago. I check your blog every day and really enjoy reading about you and your farm. I have never commented on any site. I am a little intimidated with the whole computer thing. I for one would be sad if you stopped. By the way I have also seen you on Jon Katz site. I love your blog and always find it interesting. Thank You!

Thank you, Connie! I appreciate your feed back so much!

Kris, I visit!
You usually know because I am chatty and usually leave a comment :)
I keep a blog as a farm journal, helps keep me organized and motivated! The interaction with others is a bonus!
I think people keep blogs for different reasons.

The things I love about your blog:
1. You blog daily so I know I can count on something new.
2. I am a city girl and am fascinated by all the things you do that are just everyday normal activities to you. Which is part of why I don't comment---I'm not qualified to comment on anything you do. But I can see now that I should put in the same effort that you do even if its just an "How cute!"
3. You don't spend time "preaching" about how your way of life is being threatened by outside influences.
4. You use a lot of photos.
5. You blog style makes me like I'm a friend that you just called to chat with.
6. I like the arts and crafts that you talk about without giving us pages of instructions that I will never attempt.
7. I am especially fond of all the different animals you have. I can't wait to hear how the alpacas work out.
8. You take us out into your community. I am Southern born and raised but haven't lived there in 20 years so I like to hear about small Southern town happenings.
9. There really aren't a million farm blogs out there. Some are more like a 4 H club for grown-ups, some only blog a couple times a month, some go great then unexpectedly just quit, some are more like recipe blogs.

Sandra, I know you're here a lot and I thank you for that. We like the same things so I like going to your blog too. I love hearing about your sheep and all the happenings on your farm too. So thanks for your input here!

Denny, thank you for what you've said. It is a help to me to know what you think. I never know if I blog too much or not enough sometimes. I do like a lot of pictures on blogs. So this has given me a lot to think about. Thanks again. And thanks for coming here to my blog too. I love all my animals and love to share them with everyone.

Please don't stop! I check in almost every day and while I don't always take the time to comment, there would be a gaping hole in my morning routine if you were gone!

You are too sweet, my friend! I'm not going to stop blogging. Just really wanted to know if what I blog about is meaning anything to everyone. I go to yours and Sandra's every day too. You always have something going on, Kristin. You make me tired!

Kris, it sounds as though people enjoy your blog. I do; I feel as though I'm there with you while you're talking. Your pictures are always good. I've told you that you are an excellent photographer. I love hearing about the animals, your garden, your other endeavors; soap, jelly, flowers, etc. I am not a good computer-person, but will try to get this posted.

You did it, Mom! And thank you for your comments!

I love your blog, it's one of my favorite farming blogs. I personally don't think the blog statistics are accurate. I know for me writing my blog is fun, and I do it for myself more than others. I like to go back and reread some of my older blogs...kinda like a modern
diary.

That makes me feel good to know my blog is one of your favorites, Triple K! Thank you. I wondered about those stats too.

I am an armchair traveler, hard to get away with all these critters so I enjoy blogs around the country that includes critter or scenery pictures.
