View from the milk room

I was sitting in the milk room yesterday morning on my bucket seat milking my goats. I love the view outside the door. So grabbed my camera and took some pictures.

Here is a closer view. The fig trees and the meat chickens and you can barely see the rams in the background. Just kind of peaceful. It was foggy too.

And inside the milk room, all I can hear is goats munching their feed. And a cat waiting on some warm milk.

And she is happy now. Nice warm milk straight from the goat. Can't ask for much more than that, if you're a cat. Or a dog.

Hi Kris,
What do you do with all your milk? Soap?
Have a great weekend.

It looks so peaceful. I can't wait until I have a milk room. The siding goes on the barn today! My milk room will still be half open though. I guess that's good for our climate 90% of the time.

How much milk are you getting a day? From how many does? Mine have really slowed down.

We drink the milk, I have 4 milk customers right now, I make cheese and soap. I have 2 goats I am milking now. I was getting a gallon a day but they are going down now. I may go to once a day real soon. I am getting about a half gallon a day from them both. Sometimes more, depending on the weather. If it's rainy, less; sunny, more.

I love my milk room. It's also the feed room too, as you can tell from the feed sacks. Also have a freezer in there. I need another refrigerator for just milk and cheese. It's nice to have a fridge to put the milk in right after milking to keep cool while doing other things instead of having to run it inside.

Y'all have a great weekend too! It's beautiful here today and will be cold tonight, in the 40's! Then in the 70's next week!
