Yep. 95 degrees Wednesday. Farmer's market day. From 3-6. The hottest part of the day. On white concrete and rocks. By a busy city street. With lots of traffic. UGH! Not really looking forward to this at all. But we have to do it. We are tough. I'll take lots of ice cold water and some wet towels. And I have a canopy. But it's only half way in the shade. And I have soaps. And jelly. And now plantain slave. It could be a liquid in this heat. And so could the soap. That's very nearly 100 degrees. That's pretty hot if ya ask me.
So please think nice cold thoughts of all us farmers and artisan type folks out there in this awfully hot heat. And I hope you all have a very nice day!

That is hot!
I hope you stay cool at the market!!
I think it's great when it gets up to 60 degrees here.
Wow, I can't remember what 60 feels like any more! I think you would just wilt in 95 degree temps then.
It wasn't too awful bad out there today. There was a nice warm breeze blowing, then a stray cloud would cover up the sun for a few minutes. Thank goodness for canopies! But when we are going East-West, only half of my things are shaded. So I have to put the soap on the East side so it won't melt. Soap doesn't hold up too well in theses temps.
And I brought plenty of ice cold water. I sold lots of soap and some plantain salve. And some jelly. And of course dandelion greens. So a pretty good day at the market.
I'm glad it was a good day despite the heat.
It's always a great day at market. I love going. The people are all so nice. I like the Sat. market better though. It's in the morning. Under shade trees. SO much cooler there.
