Happy birthday, mom!

This is my mother, Iris. It's her 81st birthday today. She does not look 81 at all. She's so beautiful. I am so proud of her too. Still working. So healthy. People don't believe her when they ask her how many pills she has to take. Just one really small one. She loves to be outside in the yard, planting flowers and shrubs. She just pruned down some rose bushes that were probably 10' tall. But she loves it. She weed eats and push mows the yard. She is amazing. And she's so nice and sweet and has the best spirit. I want to be like her when I grow up! She is the way I want to be. I hope she has 81 more birthdays. I love ya Mom! Happy birthday!

Kris, from reading your blog I presumed that you were about my age. But I am now figuring out that you are a whole lot younger than I--and with a bunch more energy!! My Mom is 96 and a half and still looking gorgeous. I have said for years that I want to look like her when I grow up. Praise God for His blessings. Your Mom is beautiful.

Thank you Betty Ann. I am just 54. Sometimes I feel 96 though. Then again, 12. I take care of a 95 year old lady who thinks she's 96. She's so funny. I don't argue with her any more about it. She always said she was nearly 100, so she's trying to speed it up I guess. But my mom is who I aspire to be like. It's not happening yet though. I bet your mother is amazing.

Happy B-Day Mom! She looks amazing! I've learned from some of the older women in my life to stay active and involved. (As much as I want to crawl under a rock and hide sometimes...)

Nope. Go Go GO!!!!

Well I am almost 64. And yes, my 96 and a half year old mother is still pretty amazing! I can't believe with all you do you also care for a 95 year old lady. But then again, since it's you, I can believe it...

I am with Mrs. T all day on Fridays. I take her to the beauty shop, then I go grocery shopping. Then get her and we go out to eat lunch, just to get her out of the house. Then I go through the week, take her to doctors or dentists. I am her driver now. She has 2 others who stay during the rest of the week, 24/7. But she's so funny. And a sneaky lady. I found out after several dramatic situations, that she was a drama major in college. Ha! So I am on to her now! And she can tell some whoppers too, that woman. What a mess. But she sure keeps me hopping. She called last night at 9:30. I didn't get to the phone but she left a message, wanting to know she was going to see me, that it had been awhile. I had just been there. But I love her. I tell my mom that Mrs. T is laying all the ground work for when she is that age.

Abby, I took a lot more yesterday. She was having fun modeling for me. I put them on my FB page.
