I just saw this on a friend's Facebook page. A bunch of horses were bought by a kill buyer up in Pa. They have til this Sunday to be bought. There are steps you can take to get them to you. And they are really cheap too. Nice looking horses. If anyone needs a good horse, I hope you can rescue one of these. I just don't have room.

My husband would not be pleased if I brought home a horse. We have an "All Animals Must Provide" rule. I'm not sure what a horse would provide except for another mouth to feed. Hope they get good homes.
Kristin, me too. I had a horse years ago but she was very expensive and we couldn't eat her. So she had to go. But now, I've been thinking about a smaller horse that could actually work. Like pull a wagon or cart or plow. And that 15 year old mare looks like she could do all that. I don't want to ride a horse anymore, but would go behind one in a cart or plow. They even make mowers that you can hook up to a horse to mow your yard and pastures. This way I might consider getting another horse. But this is so sad to know that good healthy still young horses are being killed daily all over. So sad to see. I wish people would quit breeding horses. No one can afford hay right now. And like dogs and cats, there are too many of them. So stop breeding horses.
