Need Motivation

I just cannot seem to get motivated lately. And I have SO much that has got to get started. And finished. The Holiday market is in 2 months and I still have lots of soap to make. And jars and vases to get done. And rag rugs to finish and start. Just too much. And I am still gardening. Going to markets. I am going today back to the market on 27. I picked a bunch of pretty collard and turnip greens. And kale and lots of pretty colorful radishes. It starts at 3 but I need to be there at least by 2:15. Then I'll have to take my daughter to work at 5 so I'll have to leave the market by 4:30, unless I can find someone else to take her. But usually, if I don't sell most everything in that first hour or so, I won't.

I guess being a last minute type person isn't a good thing right now. I would much rather be here, sitting on this porch, with the  babbling brook  at my feet. But that ain't gonna happen.

I'd rather be sitting there too. Very nice. I think we all get in that rut of needing modivation. Life gets too busy and it gets overwhelming. Take a step back, sit and enjoy your brook for a while and relax and have a cup of coffee or tea. Maybe then you'll feel better!

Hi Kris,
I know what you mean, I have 10 skeins of yarn I have to spin for customers ... And well ... it's not that I don't want to, cause I love to spin. I just have so many other things going on right now. I have to finish Christmas gifts( knitted) soap, the house, bring in hay ...
No need to tell you, your plate is just as full as mine. The last of the rams will be going this weekend or next, just waiting on my customer.
It's okay, to take a few moments for yourself. Have a great week.

I think I am more ready today to do some soap. The Border Collies and coming this morning. I will wait til they leave to start soap. But isn't that creek beautiful? I would love to have one here. We do sometimes when we have had rain for days at a time. Right through the yard. Not really what I want but it's pretty cool out in the goat yard running through the rocks. Anyway, time to get to work.

Teri, I hope you get to your spinning soon.

I was having problems getting motivated to do some woodworking that I had an order for, but I finally got to it and finished it. Maybe it is just the time of year. That water fall seems so peaceful.

It is very peaceful. I would love to have stayed longer but I only had one night there. It's a cabin in Cherokee, N.C. called Panther Creek Lodge and Cabins. Great place for a get away, which is what I had done. Glad you got your work done. I did make 2 batches of soap today.

Sometimes I just get tired too. I think of all that I need to do and just can't get myself moving. I'm having that experience this morning. I need to milk, feed the meaties, let the layers out, clean up the kitchen, plant the swiss chard, go to Lowes for annual rye seed, spread it, drive 30 min to pick up some free hay, be back by 6 to teach a young man how to milk my goats so I can go out of town and cook dinner somewhere in there.

And I'm still sitting at the computer in my nightie.....

Kristin, I sure hope you got all that done! You made me tired just reading all that. It's nice to get away for awhile, isn't it? I loved my few days away back in Aug. I think I need a few more though. Have fun!
