And making soap too

I am also making more soap. This is a violet-chamomile soap. It smells so good. I hope it turns out ok because it's dark and cold and dreary outside today.

I also made a spiced pear using the pumpkin spice recipe I love so much. I had some spiced pears I had canned so used some of those and some ground cinnamon and cloves. I hope this works. It was really dark when I poured it in the mold.

I'll make a Spiced Mahogany later.

I just love making soap. It's way too addictive.

Your soap sounds amazing! I've yet to learn how to make soap, but it's definitely something I want to try :)

Hi Jaime.I'm taking it out of the mold today. It's a 48 hour wait for this recipe. But it always turns out good and hardens up fast. I made a Spiced Mahogany yesterday. And tomorrow I'll be making another bees wax soap. Not sure of the scent yet though. Maybe Patchouli. Thanks for stopping by!

I love homemade soap! If I were closer, I'd buy some of yours. One of these days I'll learn to make it

Kristin, I met a girl at the Chattanooga market a few years ago. She had some of the prettiest soaps. We got to talking about goat milk and I told her I had a buck I would let her use for her does if she would teach me how to make soap. She lived in Tn. way off-grid, in a house her and her kids and some friends built. No electric at all. But the coldest, most wonderful spring water ever. So I went one day and she showed me how to make soap. I have been hooked ever since. She made French-milled soap. I did that for awhile til I learned how to make it another way now. It is SO fun and there is no end to what kinds to make. Just go for it! The lye is scary at first, but a breeze now. I do it in the kitchen.
