Then saw Stella, the squash eating dog. I forgot she has done this before. I caught her in the act this time though. Look at that bad dog. Well, I guess she's pretty healthy. She is a raw food dog.
And this is what's left of the veggies in the wagon. I hurried and got them all in the house. They are all bagged up and ready to go. Hopefully Stella won't get in the bags. It's warming up a little so had to come out of the jacket.
I am jealous that you still have squash. The vine borers did mine in ages ago. I only got a handful of fruit. Interestingly, they went for the yellow squash before the zucchini.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm only harvesting peppers, Japanese eggplant, okra and butterbeans. It's almost time to dig the sweet potatoes too.
Kristin, I have the bores too. But they seem to be liking the crook neck squash over the straight neck or zucchini. And these are the second planting. First produced NOTHING! I did just put some 7 dust on the squash in hopes of saving what's left out there. And the beetles have eaten every field pea leaf too. They are ruthless right now. I don't like bugs at all.
DeleteLove the pic of Stella! LOL.
ReplyDeleteShe is a stinker, that dog. But I love her anyway. Almost 2 years old and not she starts all the puppy behavior.
